From feast-or-famine to predictable months

Three layers — maintenance tiers, seasonal packages, add-on projects — that turn one-time jobs into income you can plan on.

The feast-or-famine cycle isn’t a work-ethic problem

Great week, dead week, repeat — that cycle comes from a business built on one-time transactions. Chasing the next job costs time, energy, and marketing money, and kills the predictability you need to plan cash flow, hire confidently, or take a week off.

Layer 1: tiered maintenance plans

Stop selling a mow; sell a plan. Basic (mow, edge, blow), mid (add fertilization, weed control, cleanups), premium (irrigation checks, shrub care, priority scheduling). Three options make buying easy — and make revenue monthly instead of maybe.

Layer 2: seasonal packages

Sell the year, not the task: spring revival, summer protection, fall cleanup and winterization, winter watch (pruning, lighting, storm work). Clients pre-commit; you start each quarter knowing what’s coming in; crews stay busy year-round.

Layer 3: add-on projects from existing clients

Your crews are on the property weekly — train them to photograph cracked pavement, tired beds, dark walkways. A friendly “want a quick quote to fix that?” sells high-margin enhancements to people who already trust you. Marketing cost: zero.

Pick one layer and launch it in the next two weeks. One recurring offer changes how the whole business feels.
